Coomers are a family owned and run company supplying materials and equipment to builders, plumbers, developers and DIY enthusiasts for over fifty years. We are proud that two generations of the Coomer family are actively involved in the day to day operations of the company. The business has been built on the bedrock of outstanding customer service, competitive pricing and excellent stock availability and it is these three fundamentals coupled with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff that has enabled the company to grow and prosper.

Now operating from three large well equipped depots in Oakhanger, Bordon and Haslemere, we aim to provide the same high levels of service to our customers within the Alton, Farnham, Godalming, Cranleigh, Petworth, Midhurst and Petersfield circle. Our fleet of modern crane off-load trucks together with some smaller vehicles for that “difficult driveway” enables us to offer next day delivery in most of our supply area and what’s more, this service is completely free*.

Best known primarily as a heavy side builders’ merchant stocking bricks, blocks, roof tiles, cement, paving and timber, Coomers have expanded to become the complete “one stop” merchant, capable of supplying everything for the construction of a house, office, industrial unit or merely a garden shed. Our recent move into bathrooms, kitchens and plumbing completed this transformation and our extensive inventory and displays of bathroom suites, showers, mixers, cabinets, sinks, worktops and appliances at the Bordon showroom compliments the full range of heavyside building supplies at our Oakhanger and Haslemere branches.

As a major stockist of Dulux paint we have concentrated in building up our decorating departments at Haslemere and Bordon branches, with paint mixing machines capable of producing thousands of colours within minutes. This service together with large stocks of wood finishes and treatments, cleaners, paint brushes and rollers, step ladders and dust sheets makes Coomers a must for the professional decorator and home handyman alike.

It’s not only the home and its interior fixtures we aim to provide, our landscaping department has everything necessary to construct the perfect patio or deck. The massive stocks of stone slabs, treated decking, walling, paving, and railway sleepers at our Oakhanger and Haslemere branches dwarf those of our competitors. It’s therefore no surprise that it’s Coomers that most local landscape contractors and garden designers come to for supplies and advice.

To ensure that we continue to compete with the large publicly quoted merchant groups, Coomers are founder members of the National Buying Group, an association of progressive independent merchants spread across the country and able to negotiate buying prices at least as competitively as the groups and in many cases far better. It is buying power that enables us to pass on to our customers some of the most competitive prices in the South.

* Local Delivery (within approximately 10-15 mile radius of our depots) is FREE, for orders over £75 (including VAT.) A £7 delivery charge is applied to orders under £75. Delivery is normally within 2 working days, but lead times can vary at busy times.
